A delegation of U.S. taxpayers and international human rights lawyers is set to submit evidence to the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Nov. 11, seeking arrest warrants against U.S. President Donald Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other senior American officials over allegations of aiding and abetting genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
According to a report by journalist Michael Leonardi published in The Palestine Chronicle, the evidence package was prepared by the Taxpayer Alliance Against Genocide (TAAG), a coalition of activists and organizations that says U.S. financial, military and diplomatic support has enabled Israel’s military operations in Gaza.
The submission reportedly includes affidavits from medical workers, eyewitness accounts, whistleblower testimony, videos and documentation of U.S. assistance to Israel. TAAG said the filing follows a U.S. federal court ruling that upheld the group’s right to share evidence with the ICC despite efforts to restrict cooperation with the court.
The group argues that senior U.S. officials should be investigated under international law for their alleged role in supporting Israel’s campaign in Gaza. The initiative will be accompanied by a press conference in The Hague featuring U.N. Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese, attorneys Curtis Doebbler and Maria Kari, and several activists, medical professionals and human rights advocates.
The ICC has not publicly commented on the planned submission. Any decision to open, expand or pursue an investigation would be subject to review by the court’s Office of the Prosecutor under its established legal procedures. # (ZIA LUNA)
