Senate Employees Told: ‘Magbaon ng Pamalit na Damit’

Senate employees have been advised to bring extra clothes in case large rallies prevent them from going home during the start of the impeachment trial against Vice President Sara Duterte on Monday, July 6.

The reminder was part of the “Pakiusap at Paalala” issued by the Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms (OSAA).

Staff were also told to always carry their IDs, as Philippine National Police (PNP) and Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) personnel will begin checking them as early as Diokno Boulevard.

Designated drop-off and pick-up points for TNVS vehicles have been set, while only seniors, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and pregnant women will be allowed entry through the gate.

Employees with complaints or suggestions were encouraged to reach out to Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Alfred S. Corpus, while matters related to the impeachment trial should be directed to Senate Secretary Atty. Renato Bantug.

The PNP and MMDA are expected to set up checkpoints along roads leading to the Senate. # (ZIA LUNA)
