Health workers, nurses and doctors complainants filed a Manifestation with Urgent Motion to Conduct Investigation before the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Tuesday, September 22, asking the Commission to investigate what they describe as continuing violations allegedly committed by physician Lorraine Marie T. Badoy following the issuance of the PRC’s decision in their case.
On May 8, 2026, the PRC found Badoy guilty of violation of the Revised Code of Ethics of the Medical Profession constituting unethical and unprofessional conduct and imposed a six-month suspension of her certificate of registration, during which she was prohibited from practicing medicine.
According to the health workers, however, beginning **June 28, 2026, just days after their counsel received the PRC Decision, Badoy made a series of public Facebook posts that again identified the Alliance of Health Workers (AHW) as a supposed front of the CPP-NPA-NDF and repeated accusations against the complainants and other individuals and organizations.
Health workers say that subsequent posts on June 29, July 5, and July 7 similarly repeated these allegations and expanded the statements to include attacks against media organizations, individuals, and even the PRC itself.
The complainants contend that these subsequent acts are of the same nature as the conduct for which Badoy was previously sanctioned, and therefore warrant a new investigation and appropriate disciplinary action under the Medical Act of 1959, as amended, and the Revised Code of Ethics of the Medical Profession.#
