From banns to vows: Alonzo-Co wedding fulfills actress’s wish for intimacy

Bea Alonzo and Vincent Co quietly tied the knot in a civil ceremony at Makati City Hall on Monday, July 13, at 7 p.m., officiated by Mayor Nancy Binay, veteran showbiz commentator and manager Ogie Diaz confirmed.

Ogie revealed in a Facebook video that he had seen a photo of the couple at what appeared to be their wedding, along with their marriage banns and certificate.

He said only a handful of people witnessed the ceremony, including the owners of Secosana Bags, who are also behind Bea’s travel brand Bash.

Despite earlier speculation about prenup issues, Ogie clarified that it was never a major concern, noting Bea’s financial independence.

He added that comparisons of wealth between the two were irrelevant, stressing that “pagdating sa pag-ibig, hindi issue ang pera.”

The wedding fulfills Bea’s long-standing wish for a quiet marriage, following months of public speculation after their banns were read in March.

Ogie, who previously had legal disputes with Bea, expressed happiness for her, saying, “Natupad din ang pangarap ni Bea na makasal.”

As of now, Bea and Vincent have not released a personal statement confirming the marriage. # (ZIA LUNA)
