By now it has become abundantly clear that Marcos Jr has no real solutions to the economic crisis. He wants to apply a box of bandaid strips while the nation bleeds to death.
- His “solutions” include the small-time P5,000 ayuda and one-time fuel subsidy for drivers which will last for only a week.
- He suspended the implementation of the measly P1 fare hike and ensured the transport sector will be condemned to destitution. Piso na nga lang, binawi pa habang wala namang ibang tulong!
- He asked for emergency powers to suspend or reduce oil taxes but says this is not yet immediately implementable and will still require study, thus contradicting the “urgent” and “emergency” nature of the legislation. In his speech today, NOT ONCE did he mention lowering oil taxes. Kaya bola lang talaga yung emergency powers na yan. 
- He offers fare discounts for MRT and LRT and libreng sakay nationwide but offers no policy direction to stop runaway oil prices brought about by deregulation. The government will instead mobilize the PNP to monitor prices at gas stations according to the DoE. Profiteering will remain unchecked.
- Three weeks into the US war in Iran, Marcos says that they are doing everything so that the people will not feel the effects of the economic crisis. Clearly this guy is out of touch with reality. We have been reeling from the effects of the crisis for the last two weeks! Purchasing power is being eroded as no wage and salary increases have been implemented. There is so much uncertainty now over our immediate economic future.
Barya-barya. Tingi-tingi. Panakip-butas. Ganito ang tugon ng rehimen sa pinakamalalang krisis na humagupit sa atin mula nang pandemya. Sa mata ng mga naghaharing-uri, di natin deserve ang makabuluhang ayuda, nakabubuhay na sahod at pamumuhay na may dignidad. Pinapaasa lang tayo sa barya at pakitang tao.
Bukas Marso 19 araw ng welga, makiisa at lumahok tayo. Bahain ng protesta ang inutil at pahirap na rehimen. Hindi kikilos ang gobyerno kung hindi mangangalampag ang taumbayan.#
