Trevor Magallanes, the former husband of actress and comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto, has passed away.
While details surrounding his death remain undisclosed, Quinto mourned his loss through a heartfelt Instagram post featuring family photos.
The emotional tribute sparked an outpouring of support from fellow celebrities and friends.
“I’m deeply saddened by this development. Hope you give us time to mourn his loss especially my daughter. Just pray for us that we will get thru this by the help of God,” Rufa wrote.
“We are still gathering factual information about his death. Even us or his immediate family are still verifying what happened. So we kindly ask his friends or anyone to stop spreading fake news or mere speculations about his death,” she added.
“Thank you very much and please give us respect and pray for us in this time of trial. Hanggang sa huli. Hanggang sa muli. Mahal kita Trev.”
Actress Maxene Magalona expressed, “So sorry for your loss,” while Christine Babao wrote, “Yakap na mahigpit Peachy.” Alessandra de Rossi, Daniel Matsunaga, Candy Pangilinan, Sunshine Cruz, and singer Jaya also extended their sympathies.
Magallanes, a former financial analyst and U.S. Air Force veteran, had publicly confirmed his divorce from Quinto in late 2024, citing personal challenges and a commitment to prioritizing their daughter, Athena.
The couple met during Quinto’s visit to the U.S. in 2016 and tied the knot later that year. Their daughter was born in early 2017. Quinto has since returned to the Philippines to resume her showbiz career. (RRN)
