Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza showed great support as she joins the fun run for the benefit of the Save the Children Philippines nutrition.
Advocating running as a passion for a healthy lifestyle,
“Running has become such a big part of many Filipinos’ lives. It’s healthy, it’s fun, and it brings people together. But it can also be meaningful,” Barbie said.
“That’s why I’m encouraging everyone to take that extra step — to run not just for themselves, but also for a cause that can change a child’s life,” she added.
Truth to tell, Barbie recently joined the Lifestrong Marketing Inc. Benefit Run, along with thousands of runners who aim to raise funds and awareness for Save the Children Philippines’ programs for children in need.
The fun run allows Barbie to join a platform that promotes the organization’s initiatives focused on health, education, and protection for every child.
“I’m honored to be part of Save the Children Philippines. Every child deserves a chance to live a full, healthy life, and I’m running the extra mile to help make that possible,” Barbie said.
Barbie wished that her initiatives to join the fun run will spark renewed zest for act of generosity and compassion through running.
“Ang sarap tumakbo knowing that every step you take can help change a life,” she said.
“Imagine if more Filipinos used their passion for running not just to stay healthy, but to help children go to school, have proper nutrition, and feel safe — that’s the kind of movement I hope we can all be part of,” she added.
