Incognito star Richard Gutierrez, in a recent interview with Ogie Diaz, revealed that he and his former wife Sarah Lahbati are undergoing the process of annullment.
“Siguro ‘yung tungkol sa amin ni Sarah, ayoko na rin pag-u-sapan. ‘Yung mga nangyaring detalye kasi we’re actually going through an annulment now. Both parties want to move forward. Actually, at this point, naka-move forward na ‘yung both parties,” he said.
Richard admits he and Sarah have co-parenting agreement.
“May equal time kami with our kids. Parang nagko-co-parenting kami and ang priority namin is to make sure that the kids live a good life, a happy life. Of course, kung happy siya sa buhay niya at happy ako sa buhay ko, makikita ng mga bata ‘yun. Ang importante sa amin ay ang mga bata,” he explained.
Richard does not want to dwell on his past and wants to start the year in a new and peaceful slate.
“Kung ano man ‘yung dahilan, matagal na panahon na ‘yun. Naka-move on na kami pareho. 2025 na, gusto ko magsimula ‘yung taon na maganda, peaceful, at happy. Let’s leave that past in the past and we’re all trying to move forward,” he said.
All that Richard is wishing for his ex-wife is happiness.
“Basta ako, ang wish ko lang ay sana maging masaya siya sa lahat ng nangyayari or decision niya kasi ako moving forward, happy din ako. ‘Yun din ang importante sa amin kasi kapag happy siya, makikita ng kids ‘yun. Maapektuhan ‘yung kids nu’n,” he said.
Barbie Imperial not a third party
In the interview, Richard stressed that Barbie Imperial did not cause his marriage to collapse. They broke up long before Barbie came into the picture.
“Siguro for now, gaya ng sabi mo, nakikita naman ng mga tao, doon muna tayo sa what you see is what you get sa amin ni Barbie. Ang gusto ko lang siguro i-clarify doon sa mga tao is that si Barbie walang kinalaman sa paghihiwalay namin ni Sarah. Hindi siya third party, hindi nag-overlap,” he said.
Richard felt duty-bound to protect Barbie from bashing because she’s been hated for the wrong reasons.
“Maraming mga tao – mga bashers – nagsasabi na siya ang dahilan. Wala siyang kinalaman. Nakilala ko si Barbie matagal na kami nagkahiwalay ng landas ni Sarah. Gusto ko lang i-clarify, siyempre, parang ang daming nagre-eact sa kanya, mga naghe-hate comments sa kanya. Siyempre, kailangan ko siyang protektahan. Kailangan ko rin i-clarify ‘yun,” he explained.
