Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, so they say.
Well, that’s what it appears to be as Anthony Jennings’ ex-girlfriend Jamela Villanueva, took to social media to expose things between the actor and Maris Racal.
A few days after Anthony confirmed the breakup with Jamela, his ex-girlfriend seeming unleashed her fury long kept at by by way of Instagram Stories which exposed the real score between Anthony and Maris Racal.
Jamela uploaded controversial cozy photos of the two along with screenshots of their convo.
“I’ve been trying to hold myself together through everything that’s been happening,” she initially wrote on IG Story.
“There’s only so much silence a person can bear when rumors twist the truth. I’m sharing this because I need to set the record straight—not to create more drama, but because I deserve to be heard, just like anyone else,” she added.
It was believed that Jamela and Anthony’s romance was already on shaky ground since June this year.
Before the breakup, Jamela was happy that Anthony got big breaks with her partnership with Maris which started in Can’t Buy Me Love. The series saw the emergence of the SnoRene love team. What it lead to were a series of commercials.
“When Maris came into the picture, I was genuinely happy for you both. I even chose to be supportive, despite the red flags I couldn’t ignore. I respected your craft. I believed in you both. But betrayal like this cuts deep,” Jamela said.
When June came, Jamela discovered a series of convo between Maris and Anthony. At one point, Maris was asking if they could delete their messages.
“Someday di na kailangan,” Maris said, obviously referring to the act of deleting their conversation.
“Okay na. Yeah. Sana nga. Naiwan ko cap jan. Bukas nalang. See you. Gusto kita yakapin,” Anthony replied.
Jamela claimed the convo occurred when Anthony and Maris were in a hotel for a brand launch.
In another convo, Anthony who is listed as Michael in Jamela’s cellphone, said life was difficult for him because of his work, saying he had to do some “method acting.”
“Mahirap. Mahal kita. Tapos kailangan kong gawin ‘to. Parang nakapako ako sa pader. Masakit siyempre. Miss ko buhay ko eh. Pero wala di gagana ‘to pag ‘di ko gagawin ‘to,” Anthony told Jamela.
“I’m not sure if you’re familiar with method acting, but this was something he kept emphasizing to me. He explained that he needed to make her feel loved and appreciated because she was going through something as well. He believed that showing her care was the only way to make their work go smoothly and for his partner to function well,” Jamela wrote.
At the time, Jam was all in for Anthony’s work, encouraging and supporting him to do what’s best for his craft.
At one point, Anthony did admit kissing and making out with Maris outside of their work.
“That was so hot,” Maris reportedly texted Anthony.
“I confronted Anthony about it and he told me na hinila daw siya sa CR ng girls and they started making out. I asked him why did he let her, he just said, ‘Ayoko lang maramdaman niya na parang ayaw ko siya kasi may trabaho kami bukas,” Jamela wrote.
Despite the red flag, Jamela still forgave Anthony and gave him her trust.
Jamela not only posted Maris and Anthony’s convo, she also posted photos of them. One photo showed
Maris and Anthony kissing inside a plane. It was when they were bound for Italy to tape some scenes for Incognito. Maris was then celebrating her birthday.
Those photos broke Jamela’s heart as she described it as “photos that shattered my heart into pieces.”
Jamela posted some cryptic messages on Tiktok.
As a result, Anthony messaged Jamela, saying: “Ako nalang sirain mo love. Mag-usap nga tayo. Sinabi na niya sakin. Di na siya lalapit sakin. And I promise you wala na din. Tinapos ko na. So, please. Kung ano man yan, itigil mo na yan.”
The message was dated October 1.
But it was too late. Jamela broke up with Anthony.
“Thank you for being there for me through the hardest times in life. You’ve brought a life into mine that I never thought I could have, and for that, I’ll always be grateful. Happiness was all I ever wanted for you, in our years of living together. I never imagined I’d have to let you go, but I did—so you could grow and find happiness on your own,” Jamela wrote.
At the end of her IG Stories, Jamela warned all the girls like her.
“To all the women reading this, don’t be like me. It took me three long months to finally accept that I was just ignoring the reality of the situation.”
“I allowed this to happen because I thought it was the best way to support them both. Most importantly, I trust my partner and her—as a woman,” she said. (NIGEL CHAVEZ DE ESTRADA)
