Ai Ai delas Alas is now separated with her husband a few years her junior, Gerald Sibayan.
That’s the rumor swirling around showbusiness today.
Actually, the rumor had reached Boy Abunda, the Conedy Concert Queen’s manager.
In a recent episode on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the manager acknowledged learning about the rumor.
“Nagsimula po ang ugong na ito ng ‘di umano’y si Aiai at si Gerald ay nagkahiwalay na… Kami ay may common friend ni Aiai na nagtanong, ‘Boy, naghiwalay na ba si Aiai at saka si Gerald? At ang sagot ko po ay hindi ko alam. At yun po ang totoo nu’ng ako ay nasa US. Hindi ko talaga alam,” Boy said in his talk show.
“Pero sabi ko, tatanungin natin. dahil hindi lamang po artista ang turing ko kay Aileen. Siya po ay pamilya. She is family to me. So, may mga pabulong na pag-uusap, may mga speculations na. May mga nagsasabi na hiwalay na nga si Aiai at saka si Gerald,” he added.
Boy revealed that he will do a one-on-one interview with the comedienne when she celebrates her 60th birthday on Monday, November 11. There, he will ask her ward if there’s a tinge of truth in her rumored breakup with her husband.
