Why celebrity  political wannabes are not worth voting for

The filing of certificates of candidacies has stopped after a few days.

And it gave birth to the deluge of celebrities wanting to get a piece of political pie.

Even bereft of proper education and experience,  some celebrities had the temerity of running for public for the first time.  It’s surely wading on untested waters.

Being bereft of education, how can one effectively craft a law that would benefit the poor?  Wala namang isa sa kanila ang nagsabi kung paano sila gagalaw once elected as congressman or senator, di ba?  All they were harping about is how they will all help the poor.  Naging generic na tuloy ang kagustuhan  niang tulungan ang mahihirap.

But what they don’t realize is that when they’re running for legislative, their primary role is to craft laws.

None of them, right?

That said, we feel that this new breed of celebrity wannabes are not worth voting for.

No offense meant, ha, pero marami sa inyo ang hindi nakatapos ng anumang college course.  Ang kakapal naman ng mukha ninyong tumakbo.

When respect is need

Disrespect is unwittingly displayed in great abundance when Julie Anne San Jose performed a concert while inside a church recently.

One, she performed at the altar, a very sacred place.

Two, she chose to sing an upbeat number, ABBA”s Dancing Queen which is a party song.

Three, she was garbed in a backless glittery gown accentuated by a knee-high slit.

It doesn’t take much intelligence for the Kapuso singer to realize beforehand that what she did was all wrong.

She should have realized that her repertoire was not suited for the venue. She should have thought of a more decent gown to wear.

And there goes the customary I’m sorry message when the brouhaha she unwittingly created has ballooned to unimaginable controversy.

Hay naku, this starlet of a singer does not think because if she did, she would have refrained from performing in front of an altar.  She would have not performed a dance tune and she would not have dressed stupidly in a gown that exposed her thigh and her back.
