Two senators, Allan Peter Cayetano and Miguel Zubiri, nearly engaged in a fistfight after a very feisty verbal tussle.
It was all caught on camera and it happened at the august hall of Senate.
When the clouds were cleared, so to speak, Senate President Chiz Escudero downplayed the senators’ demeanor, saying it was normal.
This takes a bad precedent as the act of the two senators leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Treating it as a natural order of things is a bit off as lawmakers are expected to display proper decorum at any given time.
So, normal lang palang magtarayan at muntik nang magsapakan ang mga senators?
So, that’s what the voting public gets. It gave them a ringside view of how things are sometimes done during Senate sessions.
Wala bang ethics committee ang Senate?
Sa school, kapag may nag-away na estudyante, they are compelled to go to the guidance counselor, right?
And they expect us, the voting public, to respect them.
Nakakatawa sila. They unwittingly or wittingly displayed what they are made of.

Pet-friendly hero
When a food server got booted out of the restaurant he was working for, many symphatized with him.
More so when the reason for his separation from the food company was made public.
The reason why the waiter was booted out was because he fed stray dogs during his break. It appears that it was against company policy.
The public commiserated on the food server. They pity him as his heroic act went public.
Since when has been feeding stray dogs a valid reason for discharge?
The guy who fired the food server, clearly, has no heart. He’s not human to begin with.
There is no denying that the food server has a heart of gold for feeding stray and hungry dogs. He was raised very well by his parents.
Sadly, in this world where we all live, people who do good deeds are not rewarded. They are made to suffer.
This elevates our belief that some people masquerade as human beings when they are actually not.
And, as they say, not all heroes wear capes. They, sometimes come in the form of ordinary individuals who are after the welfare of animals.
We’d rather be a pet-friendly individual than an animal-tempered mammal!!!
