Celebrity fashion icon Heart Evangelista showed her sympathy to an aspin namedĀ Yoda who was refused entry in a pet-friendly restaurant, Balay Dako.
Heart shated a photo of her aspin Panda on Instagram Stories with this caption:Ā “Aspin Society Elite President Panda Ongpauco Escudero.”Ā She even tagged Panda’s Instagram account.
“Sending love to ‘Yoda’,” she added in her post.
Driving home a point, she wrote in the caption:Ā “Anong walang breed???! Mas may breeding pa ako sa Inyo ha. Loka mga to. Hello sa mga kasali sa Aspin Society Elite.”
Heart is not through with her show of love to Yoda as she wrote in the comnent section: “Invite mo na anak si Yoda for high tea!”
Yoda became viral after her fur mom disclosed on her social media account that her pet dog was denied entry atĀ Balay Dako for weighing more than the allowable weight for dogs which is 20-15 kg. Yoda weights 18 kilos. The fur mom also revealed that the restaurant asked about Yoda’s breed.
“I have a weird gut feeling immediately, so instead of Aspin, I [said] ‘mixed breed’. I’ve dealt with this before. I know this, and as annoying as it is, ‘mixed breed’ is more palatable to elitist establishments like Balay Dako,” Yoda’s fur mom said.
In an official statement, Balay DakoĀ “sincerely apologizes for the recent misunderstanding” about their policy in allowing pets inside their premises.
“We are currently reviewing our policy to ensure it is clear, fair, and balances the needs of both pet owners and non-pet owners,” the statement added. (NIGEL CHAVEZ DE ESTRADA)
