Perfectly imperfect

Of late, a female group, BINI, has been subjected to harsh criticisms over what people perceived to be as an act that perfectly encapsulate what lumaki na ang ulo demeanor is.

While at the airport, the group was seen walking almost incognito, wearing masks, shades and cap. It was as if they don’t want to be recognized.  If was as if people will mob them at the mere sight of them.

And now, the group was bashed more when they arrived at the airport in full I-don’t-want-you-to-recognize-me outfit  wearing overall, cap and white mask to hide their identity.  The Jabbawockeez act of the group, sadly, add more consternation than admiration.

First, why appear in the get-up when you’re not performing yet?  Aren’t airport outfit supposed to be cool?

And then one member was spotted holding what looked like a passport.  That had netizens mocking her as their flight was domestic and not international.  A domestic flight does not necessitate a passport.

Why is this female group arriving almost incognito at the airport? Do they not want to be recognized?  Do they feel that they have reached superstar level and that they can no longer be admired at a close distance by their fans?

Of late, too, Willie Revillame is experiencing, seemingly, that is, birth pains as he recently launched his newest game show, Wil to Win.

Barely a week on air, Willie was already full of complaints as he fill his air time publicly berating his staff for mistakes they committed while the show is airing live.

Willie revealed in one of his public arias that they have rehearsed for the show, only to commit mistakes later.  A perfectionist himself, he feels that there should be  no room for mistakes as they have already rehearsed the show.

Willie was obviously exasperated by his staff’s kapalpakan which was why he always rants on his show.  With this, what he has become is a fault finder who wants things to be perfect when he is obviously not perfect himself.

Willie also can’t accept the fact that his time has already passed. The tell-tale sign is right on his face when his initial episode failed miserably at the ratings game.  Will to Win gathered a 2.7 rating against Dingdong Dantes’ Family Feud which raked in a 9.6 rating.

At one point, Willie seemingly assailed Dingdong’s show, stressing that his program was an original format and is not a franchise of a popular show abroad.  He also stressed that his show was live.

Willie’s nitpicking, of course, is just a face-saving act.

Actually, Willie’s show does not offer anything  new.  The segments have seen better days.

If he wants to have an upperhand in the game show business, he has to offer something which the public have not seen before.  Only by doing this will televiewers glue to his show.

Well, as they say, one cannot teach old dogs new tricks!!!
