“I am amazed at BINI and SB19,” Sarah said in Filipino.
The two groups, without a doubt, are the most popular P-pop groups today who can fill up large venues.
“Theyre great,” she mused admitting that she has not seen BINI performing live. She admits having seen SB19 on Billboard and having performed with them.
Sarah, was with BINI when she was awarded Woman of the Year, with the latter bagging the Rising Stars award in the 1st Billboard Philippines Women in Music Award last March.
Sarah has collaborated with SB19 in the past and she saw how passionate the group was.
“i saw them perform. Vocally and all their movements were in sync really ” she said.
“You reallt know that they were really given time to hone their talent. It’s reall amazing. They’re great,” she said.
Sarah’s collaboration with SB19 came in song last year when they both endorsed an electronics and computer hardware brand.
Another singer Sarah is most impressed with is Sheena Belarmino who is always being compared to her..
“And sometimes, when i watch them, Sheena whom they are saying is like me, I always say, “this kid is really ver good.
Sheena was a grand finalist in It’s Showtime’s “Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids” segment in 2017.
For her, Sheena is a great performer. Her dance moves and vocal prowess were great.
“That’s the excellence that I want,” she said while noting that they are all different.
In the end, Sarah was grateful for having been inspired by her idols and thankful for their “appreciation.”
Sarah stressed that she’s not threatened by the emergence of new, younger and fresher artists.
“It’s not threatened, e. It’s inspired,” she stressed.
“Inspired and challenged ako kasi personality ko, I want to be effective in my job,” she said. She wants her adoring public to feel satisfied at her every performance.
“So, seeing these great, these young, excellent performers now, I am inspired and challenged,” she said, expressing her willingness to improve herself in the future. (NIGEL CHAVEZ DE ESTRADA)
