Vice Ganda took back her message on X that she will apologize to searchee Axel whom she castigated for stealing a kiss from searcher Christine during the EXpecially For You segment of It’s Showtime last May 31.
In a message on the show, Vice Ganda said they were able to talk to Christine who admitted.she was uncomfortable with what.Axel did.
“I said I will say an apology, ngunit bago ko ‘yun gawin dito sa Showtime, ay nag-usap- usap kami ng staff, ng aming management, ng aming unit head, ng aming mga producers at kaming mga hosts, at pinag-aralan namin ang mga nangyari, kasama na rin ang mga psychologists ng Showtime na nakiki-coordinate din. At nakausap po naming muli si Christine at Axel. At dahil po doon ay binabawi ko po ang tinweet ko na I will say an apology because I don’t need to apologize for what I did. Ito ang aking paniniwala at paniniwala rin naman namin na hindi kailangangvmag-aplogize because what we did was right,” Vice Ganda said.
“Again, nakausap namin sila, at si Christine, base doon sa Tiktok video at sinabi nyang hindi siya na-off and it was okay. Pero nakausap ulit namin sya ng aming staff, producers, at mga psychologists, inamin niyang talaga namang na-off siya at meron syang naramdaman, na hindi sya komportable, sa ginawa ng searchee. Meron siyang dahilan kung bakit sinabi nya yon sa Tiktok, na hindi na rin namin isi-share. Nirerespeto namin ang dahilan ni Christine kung bakit sinabi niya ‘yun na hindi siya na-off when in reality na-off talaga siya,” she added.
“And since na-off si Christine, naniniwala ako na hindi mali na kinol out namin si Axel dahil karapatan ng babae na tumanggi o umalma kung para sa kanya, sa pakiwari niya, ay hindi siya komportable sa ikikilos ng anuman sa harapan niya, hahawakan man siya, hahalikan man siya, aakbayan man siya, tatapikin man siya,” Vice Ganda further said.
Vice Ganda said that she us duty-bound to protect her guests in the show.
Vice Ganda revealed that she talked to Axel who understood what happened. She promised to see him soon.
