When Emmanuelle Atienza, daughter of weatherman Kim Atienza, drew flak for her Guess the bill challenge, she made an even bigger mistake in dragging actress Nadine Lustre into the fray.
Emmanuelle said the video which showed a bill of more than P100,00 was a “joke.”
“If you’re gonna hate on me for being rich, you need to do the same for everyone,” she said, asking if the likes of Nadine, BTS, Taylor Swift, Sabeina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo are redistributing their wealth.
“And they have a 1,000 times more wealth than I do,” she intoned.
That had Nadine”s fans raising their arms in protest on social media.

It is the gross display that rubbed people the wrong way. It is not because you are rich. It is your obtuse display of opulence, the lack of regard that your audience really comes from a developing country that even a measly 4k pesos is already expensive for rent.
“The names you gave won’t display their bill like that. It is one thing to have designer clothes, it is another to display that you paid 9k for Coke Zero and 100K + for just appetizers. When 200 pesos for a meal can be deemed too much for your countrymen.
“It is a display of a gross lifestyle and seeming indifference to the people’s struggles during a financial crisis, food insecurity, and political upheaval. Funny, also a lot of the names you gave came from humble beginnings. none that I know ever displayed their extravagant restaurant bills for the jokez and the desperate content.
“This girl is all over my tiktok, she is young and continuously pushes herself as some woke queen. And yet cannot even decipher her lack of awareness of her own surroundings. Go back to just explaining why you cannot speak Tagalog even tho you lived in the PH your entire life.
“signed someone who did not grow up in the Philippines but knows better than to display my bill like that,” said one avid fan of Nadine.
“Baby girl, the comparison with Nadine Lustre is so stupid because she’s at an event where she is displaying a product. She is not bragging abt it, she is trying to sell it. You were not selling anything in your video aside from the fact that you are indeed, out-of-touch,” wailed another fan.
“For appreciation – I msgd Nadine 2 check if I could give her & her fam a gift (food) for Christmas dinner in 2021 but she actually told me to save it for some other time bec. she was preppin for Typhoon Odette relief efforts – ON CHRISTMAS.
