Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson vowed to continue probing the alleged ₱6.79‑billion budget insertions in the 2025 General Appropriations Act attributed to Senator Alan Peter Cayetano.
The statement was Lacson’s counter to Cayetano’s criticism of him, Senator Erwin Tulfo, and Senator Tito Sotto, whom Cayetano branded as “attack dogs” of the administration.
“Out of his ₱6.79B budget insertions under the 2025 GAA, 68 out of the 70 projects were implemented. So, only 2 projects, equivalent to around ₱75M, are left unreleased or unobligated. In short, a total of ₱6.715B was spent. While you do the math, we will keep digging,” Lacson posted on X.
Lacson further alleged that a city engineer in Taguig — whom he described as a “self‑styled BGC boy” — uses two aliases in casinos and has racked up a lifetime win‑loss record of nearly ₱0.5 billion in just one of several casino hotels in Metro Manila.
Earlier, Lacson reminded Cayetano not to be impatient with the Blue Ribbon Committee’s investigation into flood‑control projects, hinting at irregularities in Taguig.
““Huwag siyang mainip, meron ding ghost sa Taguig,” Lacson said. # (ZIA LUNA)
