Alan Peter Cayetano eh wala naman ‘yung pangalan niya rito?” asked NBI Director Melvin Matibag after Cayetano bristled at his statement that the agency would look into spending for the Philippines’ hosting of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
Matibag said the NBI will issue subpoenas to officials of the Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) over alleged irregularities in the 2019 SEA Games.
Among those to be summoned are Ramon “Tats” Suzara, Dexter Estacio, and John Lester Buenconsejo, members of PHISGOC’s board of trustees.
Matibag confirmed the NBI already has the financial audit statements of the 2019 SEA Games. # (RRN)
