House Prosecutor and Manila 3rd District Rep. Joel Chua asserted that Vice President Sara Duterte violated her oath of office when she threatened President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., stressing that the Constitution requires the vice president to “execute the law.”

Ang linaw-linaw eh,” Chua said in an interview with ANC.

Chua further argued that Duterte’s remarks amounted to “betrayal of public trust”, noting that she directly threatened the head of state.

“Isa pa, betrayal of public trust, isipin mo ang ginawa niya, ang pagbantaan ang head of the state… Would you imagine the second highest ranking official of our country, threatening the commander-in-chief of our army,” he explained.

The congressman underscored that Duterte’s family record shows capacity to carry out such threats, citing her father’s alleged involvement in extrajudicial killings.

# (ROSE NOVENARIO)
