House Committee on Public Order and Safety Chairperson Rep. Dan Fernandez stated that “there must be somebody bigger” behind Alice Guo and Cassandra Li Ong, emphasizing the need for the latter to testify before the House quad committee investigating illegal activities related to POGOs and dangerous drugs.

“Sino yung taong behind her? There must be somebody bigger than her na dapat nating malaman kasi yung criminal intent, yung mga nangyayaring mga criminal element doon sa POGO sa Porac,” Fernandez said.

“Hindi ko alam kung kakayanin ni Cassandra Li Ong yung mga torture, pagpatay, pagputol ng mga ulo, pagtorture, hindi makakayanin ni Cassandra yun. Sino ang behind sa kanya? That’s the reason why we want her under our custody,” Fernandez added.

Ong is the representative of Lucky South 99, the raided POGO hub in Porac, Pampanga.

Meanwhile, Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian said the Senate is not expected to take custody of Shiela Guo and Ong until Tuesday, when three Senate panels will begin an investigation into how former Mayor Guo allegedly escaped the country.

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) said on Friday, August 23 that ex-Bamban Mayor Alice Guo and her brother, Wesley Guo, is still in Indonesia and has made no attempt to leave the country.

In a television interview with GMA-7’s Unang  Balita, BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval said Guo has not yet made any attempts to move or transfer to another country.

“With Wesley Guo, ang last known information niya is Indonesia. Wala pa po taying new information as to his whereabouts kung lumipat po siya ng bansa,” Sandoval said.

“We are waiting sa confirmation ng Indonesia counterparts natin kung may mga updates po sa biyahe niya,” she added.

Sandoval mentioned that Guo’s group might have left the Philippines through Sabah, Malaysia, as documents indicate they did not pass through official airports or seaports.

Sandoval mentioned that authorities are still investigating and retracing the possible route taken by Guo’s group.

“Ang indication po na nakikita natin ay nagdaan po sila sa Sabah, Malaysia possibly through illegal means po kaya hindi po nagdaan sa processing ng immigration,” she said. (TCSP)
