National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Melvin Matibag confirmed that the bureau has filed grave threats and sedition charges against Vice President Sara Duterte before the Department of Justice (DOJ).
In an interview on Facts First with Christian Esguerra podcast, Matibag said the complaints stemmed from Duterte’s online press conference in November 2024, where she allegedly threatened the lives of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Marcos, and former House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
The issue was included among the grounds for the impeachment complaint against Duterte. # (ZIA LUNA)
