Zuher Bautista was obviously smitten by Martin Chua during their stint in the second season of the dating show for the members of LGBT+, Sparks Camp.
Zuher used the show to out himself as a gay guy. He became controversial when he got embroiled in a drug case and when rumors surfaced about his relationship with an actor.
As reported by an online website, Zuher’s relationship was unwittingly revealed in the watch party of the show where actor-director Fifth Solomon said, “Friend ko si Zuher. Nabanggit kasi ni Zuher na you came out sa show, di ba? Siyempre nung inilabas yung promo about the Sparks Camp, I just want to ask you if yung mga ex mo bang celebrity, nag-congratulate sa’yo? I think dalawang ex yun.”
Zuher did answer the question and said:, “To be honest, in-inform ko naman sila. Sinabi ko na lang na lumabas na yung isyu so kailangan maging ready kayo and yes kinongrats nila ako.”
In the finale episode of Sparks Camp Season 2. Zuher and Martin kissed each other, proving to all and sundry that they have mutual sparks.
“I can’t believe someone as hot as you and someone as pogi as you would be so sweet, so kind and so genuine not just to me but to all the campers here.
“I didn’t expect this talaga to happen but Zuher, you are my spark,” Martin told Zuher.
“Thank you kasi na-appreciate mo ako,” came Zuher’s reaction.
“Thank you kasi concerned ka na baka masaktan ako bilang alam mo na sensitive ako saka alam mo na ang laki ng trust issues ko.
“Pero mas thank you kasi nag-take ka ng risk kahit alam mong may naka-mutual akong iba. So right now, magte-take din ako ng risk.
“Gusto ko na uling sumubok magmahal. Gusto ko na ulit sumubok magtiwala kaya Martin, I am giving you my spark din” he added.
In a recent Instagram post, -Zuher showed his being a hopeless romantic when he said: “After having been through a roller coaster of emotions, I felt a change of course in my journey. I met this funny, child-like being who is a ball of energy, yet smart, driven, and at the same time, clumsily cute.
“These traits endeared him to me and made me want to see him every now and then. I find myself checking on him if he was doing okay. Then I realized that this could be the spark that I was looking for.
“As time quickly passed, I’ve seen your consistency to get to know me better. And unknowingly, I also gravitated towards pursuing you. You simply are present—just always there for me. And that’s a huge deal. I am grateful for your sweet gesture, our simple talks and all the sincerity in between. I felt those… I felt YOU.
“Thank you for being who you are. Without you, this journey will be meaningless. I mean that.
