As early as November last year, Xian Lim wanted to let the public know that his relationship with  Kim Chiu has gone kaput.
Xian, to make the split formal admitted asking Kim to make the announce.
In an interview with a broadsheet writer, Xian said he even begged Kim to annouce their uncoupling, something which seemed to fall on deaf ears.
Xian revealed that all Kim wanted to do is to postpone the announcement as she has a project in the offing then.
âI was actually begging Kim, saying we should release a statement that weâve already gone our separate ways, that we separated on good terms at walang sigawan. Of course, there were tears, pero walang masamang tinapay. I said, âCan we just release it? A lot of people are getting dragged into this, including my mom and grandmother,’â Xian explained in the interview.
âI begged her that both of us could release a statement, but she said not yet because theyâre doing the press launch of her series. I said, âBut this isnât work-related. Itâs personal.â Thatâs the truth to it,â he later added.
It was in December that Kim finally announced that her 12 years of relationship with Xian has gone kaput.
A month back, Xian admitted what was being talked about in muted conversations – that he was seeing film producer Iris Lee.
