The waiter whom an LGBTQ member made to stand for two hours after he called him “Sir,” clearly did not take it sitting down as he filled cases against him.
In a viral photo last month, LGBTQIA+ writer Jude Bacalso was seen lecturing the waiter for two hours about gender sensitivity.
In a Facebook post, it reported that the the waiter, R-Jay Marcilla, was still suffering from embarassment according to the Cabrido and Law Firm.
Atty. Ron Ivan Gingoyon of Cabrido and Law Firm said that RJay is still suffering from the humiliation he underwent.
“As of now, the victim is still traumatized but is trying to co-exist with society. We’re also helping him but the effect (of the incident) to his mental health was significant,” Atty. Gingoyon said.
It was then revealed that R-Jay filed five cases against Bacalso, among them, Unjust Vexation, Grave Scandal, Grave Coercion, Grave Threats, and Slight Illegal Detention.
Netizens cheerily welcomed the news report as they felt the waiter did the right thing.
“Mabuti nmn para maturuan ng leksyon na hindi cla napaka self entitled and privileged and power tripper.”
“At the end of the day , you get what you deserve. You reap what you sow.”
