The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has verified that Lt. Col. Dennis Nolasco continues to serve in active military duty.
Former Department of Education (DepEd) Special Disbursement Officer Edward Fajarda identified Nolasco as the one designated by Vice President Sara Duterte to disburse DepEd’s confidential funds.
As the AFP states, Nolasco was formerly part of the Vice Presidential Security and Protection Group (VPSPG) but is presently “on schooling.”
It is noteworthy that during his testimony before the House Blue Ribbon Committee, Fajarda mentioned that he transferred the Confidential Fund to Nolasco immediately upon its receipt from the bank.
However, Fajarda indicated that he was unaware of the subsequent recipient or destination of the funds, asserting that Nolasco specialized in confidential operations. (ZIA LUNA)
