TWO weeks after a regional trial court slapped a penalty of reclusion perpetua against four personalities, the last piece of the puzzle referred to as “justice” finally showed up to face the consequences for illegally detaining TV host and actor Vhong Navarro in 2014.

Convicted along with Cedric Lee, Deniece Cornejo and Simeon Raz, Ferdinand Guerrero – accompanied by his lawyer – surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Quezon City.

Upon arrival at the NBI office, agents read the charges against Guerrero and subsequently informed him of his rights.

It was not clear however as to when Guerrero would be joining Lee and Raz who have been serving their 40-year imprisonment at the New Bilibid Prisons (NBP) facility in Muntinlupa City. Another convict, celebrity Cornejo is at the Correctional Institute for Women in Mandaluyong City. (ANGEL F. JOSE)
