Acting President Delcy Rodríguez of Venezuela issued a message to the international community and the United States on Monday, reaffirming the country’s commitment to peace, sovereignty, and cooperation.

“Our country aspires to live without external threats, in an environment of respect and international cooperation,” Rodríguez said in a statement posted on social media,  stressing that Venezuela’s diplomacy is guided by principles of sovereign equality and non-interference.

Rodríguez underscored the importance of balanced relations between Caracas and Washington, as well as with other nations in the region.

“We invite the U.S. government to collaborate with us on an agenda of cooperation oriented towards shared development within the framework of international law,” she added.

The acting president also invoked the message of President Nicolás Maduro, emphasizing dialogue over confrontation.

“President Donald Trump, our peoples and our region deserve peace and dialogue, not war. This has always been President Maduro’s message, and it is the message of all of Venezuela right now,” Rodríguez said.

She concluded with a personal note, describing her vision for the country’s future.

“This is the Venezuela I believe in and have dedicated my life to. I dream of a Venezuela where all good Venezuelans can come together. Venezuela has the right to peace, development, sovereignty and a future.”

The statement comes amid ongoing tensions between Venezuela and the United States, with Caracas seeking to project an image of stability and openness to dialogue on the global stage. (ZIA LUNA)
