On Feb. 23, 2025, Zev Shalev of The Narativ reported that he had found confirmation of the allegation of former KGB agent Yuri Shvets in January 2021 that Donald Trump had been a footman of the defunct Russian intelligence agency for the past 40 years.
Craig Unger also made the same allegation against Trump, whose properties in Florida were lapped up by Russian oligarchs and purported leaders of the Russian mafia. Moreover, Trump’s son, Eric, admitted in an interview that Russian money flowed to other Trump projects, adding more ammunition to what Shalev alleged to be Trump’s financial ties to the Russian bourgeoisie. The first wife of Trump, Ivana Marie Trump, was born in Zlin, Czechia in 1949, when it was still part of Czechoslovakia. The third wife, Melania Knauss, was born in Novo Mesto, Slovenia in 1970.
Looking at the Trump timeline, his connection to the KGB could have been developed when he was still shacking up with Ivana, whom he married in 1977, just as he was venturing into a business inherited from his father, along with more than $ 400 million that he deployed to build several casinos and hotels that he eventually bankrupted. During the same period, Trump relied on Roy Cohn, the gay New York lawyer who served the discredited Sen. Joseph McCarthy in his witch hunts after prosecuting Julius and Ethel Rosenbergs as “communist spies” who spilled the secrets of the Manhattan Project to the Russians.
The Rosenbergs were executed by the US, only for members of a Jewish family that relocated to Russia to admit that they were the real spooks. Roy Cohn, who despised gays, died of AIDS after he was disbarred for unethical practices and threatening witnesses. Now, the two sons of the Rosenbergs (both of whom were sent for adoption) are demanding that their parents be exonerated and for the US government to apologize for the monstrous injustice it has committed to the Rosenberg family.
Roy Cohn was notorious for the “deny to death” defense of his clients, and this is the best lesson that Trump imbibed from his mentor and fellow narcissist. With Cohn at his side, Trump amassed huge debts, and stiffed his contractors, for which reason he had been slapped with 3,500 lawsuits and lost many of them, forcing him to borrow from several syndicates of banks. From the 1980s onwards, Trump also ventured into a number of property development projects overseas, including in Moscow, Panama, the Middle East, Scotland, and North America, with suckers paying him an arm and a leg for the right to use his “brand.”
Trump did fit the bill of an asset that Russia could cultivate and his proclivity for politics was a plus factor for the KGB, which was looking for assets that could crawl their way to the higher rungs of the American elite, even if Trump was the odd man out among the New York “aristocracy,” all because he was not a billionaire and his use of other people’s money to line his pockets, along with his ties with the mafia and the Ponzi artists who scammed their way to prison.
Now, Zev Shalev and The Narativ are back to exposing Trump for who he really is and what he is up to after American suckers and the sham democracy known as the Electoral College sent him to the White House. Trump beat Kamala Harris only by 2.2-million votes, or 1.5 percentage points, with millions of Democrats not voting, which means he has no mandate to mangle US democracy. Vladimir Putin naturally cheered when his crony Trump was sent to another presidential term in all his clowning glory. As a veteran Russian asset, he has four years to cripple the US, starting with mangling the federal bureaucracy, raising the national debt (he added $7.8-trillion from 2016 to 2020) and rendering the spineless GOP into a caricature of a political party.
Shalev says Trump’s KGB codename was “Krasnov,” which translates to “Red,” corroborates what former KGB officer Shvets revealed to Narativ in January 2021. Alnur Mussayev, a former Moscow-based KGB officer, said “Krasnov” (Краснов) is a relatively common Russian surname. The root “krasn” (красн-) comes from the Russian word “красный” (krasny) meaning “red.” The surname Krasnov historically could have referred to someone with red hair, which is exactly what Trump has on his scalp. In corroborating what Shvets revealed, Mussayev said: “In 1987, I worked in the 6th department of the KGB of the USSR in Moscow. The most important area of work of the 6th Department was the acquisition of spies and sources of information from businessmen of capitalist countries. It was in that year that our Department recruited the 40-year-old businessman from the USA, Donald Trump, nicknamed ‘Krasnov.’” (DIEGO MORRA)
