Trillanes to file plunder cases against Duterte, long-time aide Sen. Bong Go

FORMER President’s plan to run for the Senate will have to take a backseat in view of two plunder charges set to be filed against him and his long-time aide Sen. Bong Go.

During a media forum in Manila, former Senator Antonio Trillanes said that the two charges involved billions of government funds.

“Meron po akong planong i-file na plunder case kay Digong Duterte at kay Bong Go next week at dalawa ito. Uunahin po muna natin itong isa, mga infrastructure projects worth billions na in-award ni Duterte at ni Bong Go doon sa kompanya ng tatay at kapatid ni Bong Go doon po sa Davao. Aabot ng six billion pesos,” Trillanes told reporters during the Kapihan sa Manila Hotel media forum.

“Kapag nag-benefit ang isang pamilya, individual o ang kanyang pamilya ng aggregate total of fifty million pataas ay plunder iyon,” he added.

Describing the anomalous transactions as “the most airtight case of plunder,” the former senator finds it imperative to hold plunderers criminally liable.

“Kahit gaano natin paikutin ito, lahat ng illegal ay andirito and sabi ko nga wala ka ng kailangan ilabas pa. We have the contracts, we have established the blood relations, we have the admission of Bong Go approving authority ang boss niya na si Duterte na kilala natin, nakita mo na kapag tumulo lang ang pawis ni Duterte pupunasan nito. Nakita natin yung proximity niya,” Trillanes continued.

With Duterte’s reign of terror coming to an end, Trillanes expressed high hopes that the judiciary would show some conviction.

“I’m making it sure na hindi na ito malulusutan. Hindi nyo ako pinakinggan noong 2016. Ito tayo ngayon, talagang ginahasa ni Duterte ang Pilipinas. So ngayon, we should have to make sure na hindi na mangyayari ito. And we will shout at the top of our lungs , if we need to para lang hindi na mangyari yun.”

In 2016, Trillanes used social media to present the same set of documents – including those issued by the Department of Trade and Industry and the report of the Commission on Audit – which he intends to attach to the charge sheet.

The document contained information which showed Go’s father Desiderio Lim as the owner of the CLTG Builders to whom a P4.89-billion worth of infrastructure project was awarded in May 2018.

Another document also had the CLTG notch a P3.2-billion worth of projects back in 2017.

Trillanes insists, CLTG stands for Christopher Lawrence Tesoro Go.

Another contractor – Alfredo Builders is allegedly owned by Go’s half-brother named Alfredo Amero Go. Alfredo Builders, Trillanes added, cornered 59 projects from June 2007 until July 2008 amounting to P1.74 billion.

“Maliwanag na ginamit ni Bong Go ang kanyang posisyon, in connivance with and obvious consent of Duterte as mayor and later on as president, para makinabang ang kanyang pamilya,” Trillanes said in a video post back in 2017.

Duterte’s and Go’s camps have yet to react regarding Trillanes’ statement earlier in the Kapihan at the Manila Hotel.(ANGEL F. JOSE)
