The seemingly endless silent war between Heart Evangelista and Pia Wurtzbach

The silent war between global fashion icon Heart Evangelista and beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach, it seems, will never see a dead end.

This explains further why Heart had to clarify her decision to make her aspin  fur baby Panda wear her P12 million worth Bulgari Serpenti Viper Necklace.

Tongues collectively wagged when Heart posted a photo of Panda in her Instagram account, believed to be her subtle swipe at Pia who is the ambassadress of the Bulgari line.

“Honestly, I love my dogs actually hindi ko naman ‘yun aso, anak ko iyun e. I wanted to set an example na ang aspin na hindi lang naman iyan basta-basta na ginagawang alarm or parang doorbell ng bahay na nakakulong, so ini-spoil ko talaga siya,”  Heart explained when queried about it.

But that’s not what Heart is only poised to do.

“In fact ang aking goal talaga is makarating siya sa Paris pero ang nag-stop lang sakin ay ‘yung quarantine,” she said

The fashion icon downplayed rumors that she’s throwing a shade at someone with what she did

“Well, the necklace has been mine since what? Pandemic times so I honestly don’t see anything, I feel like more than anything, it should be an inspiration that you know should treat people around you the same they deserve the best, so honestly, I don’t really feel there’s anything that I should do and not do especially I do on the necklace,” she said.

Having said that, Heart revealed she’s become more palaban these days.

“Yes at the end of the day you know, kailangan naman din minsan palaban ka din, alam ko na rin kung paano kapag hindi ka masyadong palaban talagang natatapakan ka so, I bite now. In a very sweet way, pero masakit,” she explained.

Pia, on the other hand, only wallows in deafening silence.  She knows that the dog is barking and is now all poised to bite.

Paid idolatry

There are those who defend celebrities with dogged faith, all in the name of comfort.

When one writer defends a celebrity or anyone close to her, one can just see it as an act of defense.

But discerning netizens should be more probing as it might appear in the end that it’s paid idolatry.

Writers who defend a celebrity do not always appear as genuine as it seems.  They may have hidden agenda up their collective sleeves.

Most of these writers are actually paid hacks who masquerade themselves as hard-hitting journalists.  They’re under the payroll of celebrities which was why they always show their claws to defend their amo from potential nemesis.
