Pasig City District 1 councilor candidate Shamcey Supsup-Lee announced her resignation from TEAM KAYA THIS of Pasig mayoralty bet Sarah Discaya in an official statement on Monday, April 7.
Supsup-Lee explained that after careful reflection, she realized her values—shaped by her experiences as a woman, mother, and leader—no longer align with the team’s direction.
She shared that her initial hope was to collaborate for meaningful change, but recent developments have made it clear that her principles diverge from the team’s path.
She emphasized that her decision was made with respect for her fellow aspirants, the Miss Universe Philippines Organization, and the women and girls who look up to her.
Supsup-Lee reaffirmed her commitment to dignity, respect, accountability, and women empowerment, stating that stepping back would allow her to stay true to these values and gain clarity before moving forward.
