Sara Zimmerman Duterte Carpio has been committing tragic errors left and right, and the latest is her biggest boast—that she could have been president in 2022 had she “not prioritized other things. ” In short, she was “so politically generous” to Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. that she allowed him to “borrow the presidency that was hers for the taking.”
This reminds us of the bad experience that one of the world’s worst malignant narcissists—Donald Trump—suffered at the hands of the Russian dictator and Boris Yeltsin protégé Vladimir Putin. In one conversation, Trump bragged that the Israelis were so convinced of his greatness that Tel Aviv named a town after him. Seizing the opportunity to cut him down to size, Putin responded: “They might as well rename their country after you, Donald.” It was a master quip by a seasoned spook to a Russian puppet who had relied on Russian dollars from the time he got hitched to Ivana.
For Sara Zimmerman Duterte Carpio to continue living in her make-believe world, we ask Filipino historians to complete Sara’s alternative reality by creating a new presidential chronicle that states in no uncertain terms that Sara Zimmerman Duterte Carpio became the President of the Government of the Republic of the Philippines on May 31, 1978, the day she was born into this world and 12 years away from her Bat Mitzvah when a Jewish girl becomes responsible for her own religious and moral behavior, both of which have now apparently escaped her. That would make Sara a worthy adversary to Richard Speck, who had himself tattooed “Born to raise hell” before he murdered eight nurses in Chicago. For Sara, a simple “Born President” would suffice.
But then, no journalist would believe Sara’s yarn. The presidency was not hers for the taking. In fact, the Marcoses have wooed the Dutertes since 2016, winning the re-interment of Marcos Sr. at the Libingan ng mga Bayani and scoring a number of legal victories in the Marcos hidden wealth cases as well as quotes from Duterte Sr. that confirmed his being a Marcos loyalist through-and-through. He isn’t the son of Vicente Duterte for nothing. Yet, Sara Zimmerman Duterte Carpio thinks because of her charismatic personality, her brain oozing with intelligence and sheminet, the public adulation to which she was subjected to, and the absence of any politician who can match her IQ, EQ and DQ, the presidential draft was reserved for her. They massaged her ego, overrated her and she took the bait. Naniwala sa sariling propa.
Poor Bongbong Marcos! Here is his partner, now savaging him at every turn, threatening to decapitate him, throwing his father’s remains into the South China Sea (SCS), and killing him by way of a very reliable and efficient assassin who can murder Bongbong, Liza Cacho Araneta Marcos and Ferdinand Martin Romualdez in one fell swoop. This ex-partner even has the gall to justify her possible crime by insisting it was a “conditional threat” that will be implemented in the event Sara is dead. What does she take Marcos Jr. for? A Gentile, a Goy, who has no right to lead a tribe? A fumbling buffoon, an expert in “fractured governance”? Penologists and forensic psychologists think Sara has gone batty, a creature whose mind has been warped by ambition. Aside from the multi-billion budget, Sara needs something more—the soldiers, the weapons, the warplanes, warships, and the warmongers that complete her need to hold power. Denied of the defense portfolio, Sara has been grumbling, grousing and conspiring since 2022.
Sara may always be entitled to her own opinion but she has no franchise to the truth. She said it so many times that it has become nauseating. Honesty, sincerity, credibility, and righteousness are not needed in politics, just like Sara? Yet, as she tries to be glib, Sara Zimmerman Duterte Carpio attempts to weave fairy tales during interviews even if none of her claims square. Those who worked in swatting away the plan of Rodrigo Duterte to field his valet, Bong Go, as a presidential candidate in 2022 were swept away as Sara Zimmerman Duterte Carpio was assured of a free ride to the vice presidency. Could you imagine being taken in by the Marcos machinery and his plutocrats and not spending “singkong duling” during the 2022 campaign? “Tumakbo na, kumita pa,” quipped a political operator who said that the best thing Sara could do was not to stretch her luck too far. Which is what she is doing right now.
To return to our sheep, let us rewrite history and just snopake the entire thing, forcing the world to stop spinning on May 31, 1978, when Sara Zimmerman Duterte Carpio was born and the Three Kings failed to visit her because of the horrendous traffic along the Silk Road. So, the frankincense, myrrh and incense did not materialize in the Mindanao version of Bethlehem, the shepherds were out on that dark night, the roosters crowed and the tambaluslos, tiyanak, duende, mambabarang and manananggal were too busy plying their trade to welcome the President of the Philippines for life. Sorry to cut short the tenure of Marcos Jr. and deny the fact that there were other presidents after martial law. Ever heard Aquino, Ramos, Estrada, Macapagal-Arroyo, Noynoy Aquino, Duterte Sr. and Marcos Jr. They have to be deleted because the Philippine presidency was really not for Sara Zimmerman Duterte Carpio to donate to anyone, particularly to Marcos Jr.
It is a pity that Marcos Jr. now appears to belittle the efforts of the Makabayan Coalition and millions of Filipino citizens to hold Sara accountable and liable for plunder, embezzlement, betrayal of public trust and confidence, malfeasance, fraud and countless violations of the Civil Service Code (CSC), the rules and procedures of the Commission on Audit (COA), the Administrative Code other laws. Marcos Jr. cannot order lawmakers to stop their inquiry and throw the results of their investigation into the garbage bin. That makes as guilty as Sara.
