Mayeth Malca Darroca, Ricky Davao’s girlfriend, penned an emotional tribute about the actor days after his demise.
“You were the bravest and strongest person I have ever known. From the very beginning up to your last breath, I saw how fiercely you fought,” she wrote on Instagram.
Being with Ricky until his last breath was “The best decision I have ever made in my life was to be with you and never leave your side all throughout.”
Malca shared how Ricky would always ask how she was.
“Are you tired na?” came Ricky’s question which she always answered this way: “I will never get tired of taking care of you—because we are in this journey together.”
Most netizens were moved to tears when Malca admitted: “I lied when I told you I’d be okay. I lied when I said I’d be strong. Because the truth is, life doesn’t feel right without you.”
Malca admits Ricky is irreplaceable.
“There’s an emptiness now that nothing can fill. And I miss you more than words will ever be able to express.”
As an expression of great love, Malca had their initials “r” and “m” tattooed on her arm as a symbol of their love for each other
“My Bubba’s handwriting inked on me forever. Same with our first names’ initials, r and m. Mahal kita, Ricky, sobra sobra. Miss na kita,” Malca said.
