Vice President Sara Duterte and House Speaker Martin Romualdez experienced double-digit drops in their trust and approval ratings, according to the latest Pulse Asia survey released over the weekend.
The decline comes amid tensions between the Vice President and the Romualdez-led House of Representatives, which has been probing allegations of misuse of public funds linked to Duterte.
In a survey conducted from November 26 to December 3, 2024, Vice President Sara Duterte’s trust rating dropped from 61 percent in September to 49 percent. Similarly, House Speaker Martin Romualdez’s trust rating declined by 10 percentage points, falling from 41 percent to 31 percent during the same period.
Duterte’s approval rating also decreased from 60 percent two months ago to 50 percent, while her disapproval rating saw an 11-point increase. Romualdez experienced an 8-point rise in his disapproval rating.

Escudero emerged with the most favorable survey results among the four, with Pulse Asia highlighting that he is the only one to secure majority approval and trust ratings, standing at 53% and 51%, respectively.
