PBBM ON MORALES: HE’S A PROFESSIONAL LIAR

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday called former Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agent Jonathan Morales a “professional liar” for dragging him to the drugwatch list.

In a media interview with reporters in General Santos City on Friday, Marcos compared Morales to a ‘jukebox’ for singing whatever song is directed in exchange for money.

Given that the former PDEA agent was sacked from the police force and reprimanded while working at the anti-narcotics agency, Marcos also questioned Morales’ records and credibility.

“Mahirap naman bigyan ng importansya ‘yan. You know, this fellow is a professional liar at parang jukebox ‘yan.

Pre-operation rumors tying actress Maricel Soriano and Marcos to drugs are true, according to Morales, who testified before the Senate committee on public order and hazardous substances.

But incumbent PDEA officials refuted Morales’ claim, who asserted that no such file exists.

Several congressmen such as Surigao del Norte 2nd District Rep. Robert Ace Barbers questioned why the former PDEA agent was being examined given his dubious credentials after the Senate panel led by Senator Ronald dela Rosa convened hearings on Morales’ testimony.

While the meeting was meant to be about the 1.4 tons of shabu seized in Alitagtag, Batangas, Barbers and other lawmakers questioned why the panel was taking Morales’ testimony into account.

According to PDEA, including Director General Virgilio Moro Lazo, Morales’ records make him untrustworthy, hence they have disputed the existence of this report. (TCSP)
