Paolo Contis seems uneasy sharing the minutest detail of his rumored breakup with Yen Santos.
Contis refused to dignify rumors that Santos dropped him like a hot potato after she decided to delete her birthday greetings to the actor recently.
When asked in a recent interview about his relationship status, Contis refused to give a categorical statement, stressing that he wants to keep his personal life private.
“No comment,” he mused.
“As I always say, masyado na kayong may alam sa buhay ko so I’d like to keep my personal life personal,” he added during the premiere of his new film “Fuschia Libre.”
Showbiz authority Ogie Diaz believed that the romance between Contis and Santos has gone kaput.
“Ako, feeling ko lang. siguro kaya nawala ‘yong birthday post ni Yen kay Paolo (ay) dahil baka nagkaroon sila ng misunderstanding,” Diaz said on his online show.
“‘Di ba may mga ganyan? Kapag nabubuwisit ka, pak alis, delete. Tapos ‘pag okay na ulit, naka-archive lang pala (ang photos). Balik,” he added.
Rumors of romance between the two started in 2021 when they were seen dating after filming their project together, A Faraway Land.
It was in 2023 that Contis admitted that he is so enamored with Santos.
“Sa amin kasi, kumbaga, what you see is what you get na naman, ‘di ba? Hindi na namin puwedeng ipilit ‘yung tao to be happy for us. Hindi namin puwede ipilit ‘yung mga tao na paniwalaan ‘yung gusto nilang paniwalaan. Sana isipin lang nila na kung ano lang ‘yung nakikita nila na naka-post, ‘yun lang ‘yung truth na alam nila,” he said.
For a time, Contis was romantically-linked to his nootime co-host, Arra San Agustin, but love team was all there was to it. (Nigel Chavez de Estrada)
