The National Housing Authority (NHA) brought government housing services closer to the citizens of Subic through First Lady Marie Louise Araneta-Marcos’ LAB FOR ALL Caravan recently held at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center.
Characterized by a progressive and sustainable government, the caravan’s ultimate goal is to provide primary health care assistance across the country through free medical consultations, simple laboratory and diagnostic services, family planning, and distribution of free medicines in support of the implementation of RA 11223 or the Universal Healthcare Act.
In allegiance with the First Lady’s vision and to fulfill the goals of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr’s goal of a Bagong Pilipinas, the NHA continuously participates in this activity through an information booth aimed to accommodate housing inquiries and offer various housing assistance to select beneficiaries and participants of the said event.
Aside from the NHA information booth, the Agency also distributed a total of Php 720,000 cash grants under the Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP) — a housing assistance program intended to alleviate the lives of calamity-victim families through financial assistance.
NHA Region III Manager Minerva Y. Calantuan represented NHA General Manager Joeben A. Tai in the EHAP distribution to a total of 130 Typhoon Paeng severely and partially affected families of the municipality.
Meanwhile, other services available in the said caravan were free legal services, education assistance, skills enhancement seminars, and livelihood training.
For 2024, the LAB FOR ALL caravan has already reached the provinces of Quezon, La Union, and Zamboanga where NHA all took part. (ANTONIO)
