Marinduque, Philippines—The Marinduque State University (MarSU) Gender Advancement and Development (GAD) Focal Point System has curated various Women’s Month programs, projects, and activities from March 3 to 26.
The MarSU GAD and GFPS lined up the women’s month opening ceremony with a harana para kay Juan on March 3 at the new administration building in Boac’s main campus. MarSU will also have purple shirts on Wednesdays throughout Women’s Month on campuses including MarSU Sta Cruz, Torrijos, Gasan, and Mogpog Extramural Study Center.
In addition, the College of Arts and Social Sciences has organized the GAD Violet Exchange about Moryonan and Kalutang by March 5, 12, 19, and 26 every 9 am at MarSU’s official social media sites. Coinciding the 30 years of the School of Arts and Sciences, there would be a CASS week celebration from March 5 to 7.
During International Women’s day on March 8, there would be waves of Changes: GAD coastal clean-up at Ulong bay, GAD Grows: planting seeds of Equality at MarSU Extramural campus, and Hope Beyond Bars at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Boac.
The GAD GFPS has also prepared GADtoKnow, the second episode of GAD2MeetU program at the lounge, New Administration building on March 18. Between March 17 to 21, there would be GAD Cares – relax today, empower tomorrow at the old OP conference room, MarSU canopy. Then on March 21, there would be GAD Forum: your space, your rights: understanding the safe spaces act at the MarSU canopy. During the same venue, there would be Juana Know & Empower: free legal consultation and Lakas Mo, Kaligtasan Mo: Self-defense training.
By March 26, there would be Juana Walk: walk in Purple, stride for Change, I-GAD Motto! Words that win: Slogan Showdown and Launching of GAD and Wellness Project – MarS,U’re Fit and Fab: Shaping a Healthier MarSU Community starting 5:00 in the morning at the MarSU Boac campus to Tanza-Bantad diversion Road.
