Marcos on fake hospitalization rumors: I am here, do I look sick?

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday, September 4, denied rumors circulating about his recent hospitalization, stating that the claims are “totally and completely fake.”

The President made these remarks after the situation briefing at the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) in Camp Aguinaldo, as news of him supposedly falling ill circulated online.

The said reports mentioned that Marcos allegedly had a medical emergency and was supposedly hospitalized.

Marcos expressed surprise at the widespread circulation of the false information, noting that he had received numerous calls from concerned friends and acquaintances.

“I am here. Do I look sick?” Marcos asked the reporters, emphasizing the importance of verifying information from credible sources.

“Huwag kayong naniniwala unless it comes from a credible source,” Marcos added.

Marcos provided a detailed account of his activities on the day the rumors surfaced, confirming that he had been at the Palace for most of the day.

He described a busy schedule that included a morning meeting, a press conference with military commanders, and extensive paperwork.

“I was shocked when they said there was a medical emergency. It’s totally and completely fake,” Marcos said.

“I do not even have a cold, I do not have anything wrong with me,” he added. (TCSP)
