President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. paid tribute to mothers on Mother’s Day, expressing gratitude for their unwavering love and sacrifices for their families.
Through his social media account, Marcos Jr. shared a heartfelt collage featuring his mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, his wife, First Lady Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos, and his sister, Irene Marcos, highlighting their significance in his life.
Notably absent from the collage was his elder sister, Senator Imee Marcos, possibly due to reported political differences between them.
”Mothers are the quiet strength behind every family,” the President said.
”They care, nurture, guide and give of themselves without asking for anything in return. Their love knows no bounds—and neither does their sacrifice,” Marcos Jr. stated
”Ngayong Mother’s Day, taos-puso kong kinikilala at pinasasalamatan ang lahat ng ilaw ng tahanan. Maraming salamat sa inyong walang kapantay na pagmamahal at pagkalinga,” he added. (ZIA LUNA)
