Lucena City Mayor Mark Alcala was heavily criticized after posting a caption on Instagram that was grammatically incorrect.

Mark’s   Instagram post went viral after he captioned his vacation photo this way:  “Reserving my peace.”

With that, netizens relentlessly criticized the young mayor who is a graduate of Dela Salle University and College of St. Benilde.

“Reserving my peace? Naka-reserve talaga. Parang upuan lang?”

“Reserving talaga? Hindi pa preserving?”

“Ano pinaglalaban ni Mayor at pa topless-topless siya? Mag-edit muna siya—preserved my peace, as in preservation of peace, hindi reserved. Ano kaya conversation nila ni KB?”

“Nakakahiya yung lapse na ‘reserve.’ May time mamili ng topless shots pero walang time mag-proofread. Mayor yan ha.”

“Sana maintaining na lang ginamit niya. Hayan, kulang kasi ng letter P, nabash tuloy.”

Mark has not addressed his grammatical gaffe as of this writing. (NIGEL CHAVEZ DE ESTRADA)
