Lotlot de Leon seemingly showed no opposition to her daughter Janine Gutierrez”s rumored romance with Lavender Fields co-star Jericho Rosales.
The two were spotted on several occasions. They were first seen in a mall walking together. Then, they were sighted while inside National Museum.
When queried about it in an exclusive interview on PEP, Lotlot feels unbothered over her daughter’s supposed brewing romance with Jericho.
“Well, they’re both single. So, makikita ko nga na they’re always together. That’s good if they’re trying to know each other.
“Nasa marrying age na siya, if she finds the right man for her, na with all the qualifications na hinahanap niya, bakit hindi?,” she said.
Apparently, Lotlot has already met Jericho during her son Diego’s single launch for “Hanggang Sa Dulo” in a bar in Katipunan.
“I was really surprised that he came, so nakakatuwa. I was surprised, I was touched.
“Kasi siyempre nakakatuwa that he was there, he was very supportive, and wala lang, it was all fun, we were there as a family,” she said.
From that album launch came the fake news that Janine and Jericho were caught kissing each other.
Lotlot seemingly denied the kissing rumor.
“Nakakatawa, hindi ko alam kung saan nila…na-shock ako.
“Kasi nandun ako the whole time, so wala naman akong nakita na kissing or anything na ganyan, and you know Janine is…hindi, e, hindi siya ganun,” Lotlot explained.
As the mother of Jodi Sta. Maria, Lotlot got to work with Jericho in Lavender Fields.
“I know that he’s also maalaga, maasikaso, mapagmahal sa pamilya, he’s very family-oriented, and he’s a very responsible guy ” she said about the actor.
Lotlot said she will not oppose if Janine tells her one day that she’s going to get married.
“Well, alam mo, basta ako, kung nakikita ko na tinatrato yung anak ko nang maayos, na may respeto, na aalagaan siya nang mabuti at mamahalin at magiging tapat, bakit hindi?
