Eliana Atienza, daughter of TV host and news anchor Kim Atienza, claimed she was rendered “homeless” after she was kicked out from her campus, University of Pennsylvania.
“UPenn student, Eliana Atienza, 19, who claimed she was ‘homeless’ after being kicked off campus over anti-Israel camps is the daughter of wealthy Filipino TV star whose family flaunts extravagant lifestyle on Instagram,” Paul Farrell wrote for Dailymail.Com last May 22.
The report said that “Atienza said that she was stopped from going to her dorm” and that “her father is a prominent TV presenter in the Philippines.”
“Grandfather was on the presidential ticket alongside Manny Pacquiao,” the report added.
“One of the ringleaders of the anti-Israel protests that took place at the University of Pennsylvania revealed that she was left ‘homeless’ after being removed from campus for her role in the anarchy,” the report said.
“Eliana Atienza, 19, who calls herself a climate activist and community organizer, made the claims in an interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer. The sophomore made similar comments in an interview with NBC Philadelphia,” the report noted.
Eliana claimed she was ordered a “mandatory leave.”
“I’m the only one made homeless by this,’ she said in the report.
The very extensive report delved on Eliana’s well-entrenched family where her father,
Kim Atienza is “better known as Kuya Kim in the Philippines where he is a well-known television talk show host.”
“Kim shares his opulent lifestyle on social media, posting a video showing him in enjoying caviar in a first class during a flight, reports the Washington Free Beacon. Another video on his Instagram shows off his impressive collection of motorcycles.”
“Atienza’s grandfather is Lito Atienza, a prominent politician who served as deputy speaker in the country’s house of representatives and who ran as a vice presidential candidate alongside boxer Manny Pacquiao, arguably the most famous Filipino of all time and noted homophobe,” the report said.
As reported by the Free Beacon, Eliana claimed on Instagram that she has become a victim of “administrative violence.”
“I am also an international student. The University knows this. This is their weapon. So disappointed to be attending an institution that resorts to administrative violence,’ Eliana wrote on her IG account as reported by the news company.
