Kabataan Partylist alongside youth leaders and organizations host an improvised fashion show with ten BINI-models wearing garbage bags representing major youth issues attacking the future of Filipino youth. These highlight usual experiences rooted in burdensome systematic policies:
BINI-bigo ang kinabukasan
BINI-bira ng taas-presyo
BINI-benta sa dayuhan
BINI-bigatan ang singil
BINI-bilog ang utak
BINI-bitin ang budget
BINI-bitbit sa gera
BINI-bigwasan ng estado
BINI-bilad sa krisis pangklima
BINI-bihag ang kalayaan
After one round down the runway, the models tear apart their garbage bag couture, as a symbol of rejecting these social problems and the old, rotten politics of a few elite – the forces of ‘kadiliman’ and ‘kasamaan’, to reveal BINI-fied outfits and icons representing the 10-point youth agenda.
The transformation of the models serves as an inspiring challenge to the youth to collectively overcome such problems and come out fresh, militant and progressive in a new, better future.#
