John Arcilla articulated his thoughts on the viral video which showed the unfortunate encounter between a security guard and a minor girl selling sampaguita.
The trending video showed the guard shooing away the sampaguita vendor around SM Megamall. It showed the guard destroying the flowers and kicking the vendor.
“Kung hindi miserable at hindi mahirap ang buhay ng bata, magtitinda kaya siya ng Sampaguita kung may iba siyang paraan ng pagkakakitaan? Wala naman siyang sinasaktang tao. Mahirap na nga ang buhay niya, papahirapin pa natin?” John said in his cation.
Then, he said that the reel was “Such a sad video to watch.”
“Nag hahanap buhay yung bata. Bakit kailangan wasakin yung tinda niya? Hindi ko masisi ang bata kung bakit nagalit,” he said.
In the end, the veteran actor vented his ire on the heartless security guard.
“Bakit may mga Guard o taong ganito? Sana may kunsiderasyon. When we are in authority and we use it to mistreat someone we outrank, what kind of person are we? Sana ay mabigyan ng tamang leksiyon ang Guard,” he wrote.
SM Megamall expressed regret over the incident.
“We have called the attention of the security agency to conduct an immediate and thorough investigation. The security guard has been dismissed and will no longer be allowed to service any of our malls,” it said in a statement. (NIGEL CHAVEZ DE ESTRADA)
