Janine Gutierrez was accompanied by her Lavender Fields leading man Jericho Rosales when she attended the Tokyo International Film Festival.
Not only was Jericho her loving company during the premiere of her movie, Phantosmia, in the Land of the Rising Sun, he was also her date as she scrounged every nook and cranny of the capital city to meet her craving for authentic and delicious Japanese food.
“I’m here because I wanna let everyone know how amazing you are at finding great restaurants like so fast, so quick,” Jericho initially said while they were walking in what looked like a foodstrip in Tokyo.
After the premiere, they were caught having dinner in a fancy restaurant. Then they went to a ramen house while it was raining.
“She picks the best place to eat,” Jericho noted.
“Nauna lang sila sa atin nang konti,” Janine tells Jericho while waiting in line.
“That’s always the case with lines,” Jericho replied.
“We shall know if it’s worth the wait, Baba,” Jericho said when Janine was about to savor her ramen.
Then, the video showed Janine’s preparation for her interview for The Hollywood Reporter.
They capped the night by having cocktails at The Gold Bar.
The next day, the two went sightseeing as they visited the world-famous Mt. Fuji.
They dined at the chichi restaurants which includes Bird Land, Bills Ginza, Sushi Yuu, Gyunatsu Motomura.
“Somebody’s very, very happy with her food,” Jericho said while they were walking.
They capped the evening with some sweets.
“Guys, she’s the best travel partner because she knows where the best places to eat are. She found it in what, less than five minutes. So fast, so quick,” Jericho said. (NIGEL CHAVEZ DE ESTRADA)
