The Health Alliance for Democracy (HEAD) denounced the ongoing US-Israel military operations against Iran, calling them a “blatant violation of international law” and a grave assault on Iran’s sovereignty.
In a statement, the health workers group warned that the attacks push the region closer to catastrophic war, with devastating humanitarian and public health consequences.
HEAD said bombings have already caused civilian deaths, injuries, and destruction of critical infrastructure, sacrificing lives for US geopolitical interests.
The alliance expressed concern that the Philippines could be dragged into the conflict, with Washington pressuring the Marcos administration to expand the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA), turning local sites into launch pads for war.
The group cited a pattern of US and Israeli aggression, pointing to past interventions in Venezuela and Palestine, and urged accountability for war crimes.
“US intervention and Israel’s military assaults show a pattern of aggression that threatens global peace and violates the rights of nations to self-determination. It is not long ago that US Pres. Trump kidnapped Venezuela Pres. Maduro on allegations of drugs. Israel, supported by US, has committed genocide in Palestine,” HEAD stressed.
HEAD declared solidarity with the Iranian people and all communities resisting imperialist aggression, demanding an immediate halt to the attacks and respect for national sovereignty. (ZIA LUNA)
