Ex-POGO boss ‘assisted’ Guo group in Indonesia – PAOCC

The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) has disclosed that an individual, suspected to be a former president of an illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO), purportedly assisted Alice Guo’s group while they were evading authorities in Indonesia.

As reported by Indonesia’s Ministry of Law and Human Rights, a Singaporean national identified as “ZJ” reserved four hotel rooms for Guo’s group during their time at a hotel on Batam Island.

PAOCC spokesperson Winston Casio confirmed that “ZJ” is Zhang Jie, the former president of Lucky South 99, a POGO that was subjected to a raid in Porac, Pampanga.

Casio noted that Zhang Jie financed the group’s accommodation expenses.

Furthermore, Zhang Jie is currently a wanted individual in the Philippines.

Meanwhile, Guo’s sister, Shiela Guo, along with alleged POGO incorporator Cassandra Li Ong, are now in the custody of Philippine authorities after being repatriated from Indonesia. (ZIA LUNA)
