First Filipina Golden Globe nominee Dolly de Leon scored another major feat as she joins Nicole Kidman in the second season of Hulu’s acclaimed series Nine Perfect Strangers.
The series, set to premiere on May 21 in the U.S. on Hulu and on Prime Video international on May 22, relocates the story to a lavish chalet in the Austrian Alps.
Dolly plays one of the emotionally burdened clients who is seeking transformation using the unconventional methods of wellness guru Masha Dmitrichenko, who is played by Nicole Kidman.
The series was shot in Austria and Germany, a perfect backdrop for the healing and self-discovery being tackled in the show.
Nine Perfect Strangers is a fitting follow-up to Dolly’s critically-acclaimed role in Triangle of Sadness, which earned for her nominations at the Golden Globe and BAFTA awards.
Among other international works that Dolly participated in were Grand Death Lotto and Between the Temples.
Dolly’s inclusion in the series highlights her world-class artistry, which brings to fore her brilliance as an actress on the global stage. She unwittingly brought tremendous honor as a duly-recognized Filipina comparable to a slew of renowned actors on the international stage.
